Default 1994 Corvette Sport Seat Question

I am currently stumped. I have the factory service manual, and have memorized section 10-10, Sport Seat Inflation. I have searched for two hours on the internet for appropriate information. Couldn't find anything helpful.

Here is my problem. I have a '94 Corvette convertible with sport seats. They work fine. However, when I purchased the car about ten years ago, someone had "messed" with various items under both seats. Since everything looked fine and kept on working, I decided not to straighten it out.

Well, I finally decided to straighten things out. The passenger seat was easy to figure out. However, I am at a loss how an item under the driver's seat goes back together.

I think it's the control module, although I find the service manual too confusing to be sure. Anyway, whatever it is, it has a thin plastic piece that I assume surrounds it and holds it safely in place. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how it goes together.

I have attached a photo I just took of the innards of the drivers seat. I labeled what I know.

1994 driver's seat innards ... sport seats.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how the plastic piece wraps around the "device" and then rivets into the hole. It should be obvious, but it's not.

Any help for this old fool would be greatly appreciated.

Were the sport seats included in the build of your car? Way back when - some owner were replacing the standard seats with the sport seats.

Yes, they are original to the car.

I removed the seat cushion from my drivers side sport seat in my 95. Hope that these 2 pictures sill allow you to orient the strap around the box and the seat frame. As you can see YOUR box is in just about the correct place. You just have to wrap the strap around and yes it connects just where your arrow shows it.

This is exactly what I needed! With those two photos, I can get mine put back together. Also, I had thought this would be assembled like the passenger side's air pump ... with a pop rivet. I can see that's not the case. Is that a phillips head screw and washer I see holding it on?
