Yep. I think I've seen your L shaped strips before and I had something similar in mind.

The door is not the frame of the car. Not sure how frame flex translates to door panels.

My frame comment was directed towards your flex frame comment here. Otherwise I would not have mentioned it. I do think the 90-93 panels are better than the 94-96 however I prefer the 94-96 look and visual design

Yeah....the newer panels look better. They made some effort there (appearance/finish wise). Bummer that they're even more poorly made. Yikes.

I have that issue on the driver side door.
The last owner decided he would rip off the top of the panel to make the window go up due to a broken ribbon...
I fixed the panel, and even epoxied some glass fiber to help it grab.
That lasted a whole day before it popped off again.

I'm willing to try the screw method at this point...

I have the same issue with my driver's door. I am trying to get rid of the wind noise on that side and I'm not certain where to start. It could be the panel not sealing, the rocker panel that is bent, or the body panel right behind the wheel that is only being held on by one bolt now.

Quick Reply: Man...late C4 door panels are garbage.
