Default LT1/3 to LT5 Swap?

I'm currently looking for a project car, and what I really want is a 93-95 ZR-1, but I want to know, if it's possible to take another Corvette, and swap the engine with the ZR-1 engine of the same year, or are the dimensions of the engine mounts different?

I'm pretty sure the mounts line up... don't quote me on that... however, finding a complete donor LT5 isnt exactly an easy feat... you'd honestly be better off starting with a ZR-1 and going from there.

Engine bolts in. The cradle for the 92+ LT1 cars is the same as the 90-91 LT5 cars.

You will need several other parts to make the conversion. Let me know if you are serious. I’ve got a full drivetrain and all the other parts.

Do you know if this works both ways? I'm looking at a 90 ZR-1 for sale locally with no motor or trans, and I'm wondering if I would be able to drop an LT1 in without extensive modifications. Do you know what other parts would be needed? Thanks

It does. You will still need to do some of the swapping to get other things functioning correctly.
