Default Iron head '86 valve seals

My iron headed '86 is in need of new valve seals. Basically, I'm curious what kind of seal I'm going to find in there. They are the factory seals and have never been replaced. I have heard they're o-ring seals. I've heard umbrella seals and I've heard it might be both. So which is it? Should I use both? I'm just tired of sending out smoke signals on startup. Thanks.

Positive sealing they grip guides. Viton umbrella seals and O rings other option. O ring goes on valve stem after retainer is compressed, before installing keepers. If O ring is installed the retainer, retainer can.push O ring out of groove and down stem. Seal will be ineffective at that point.

Thanks. A picture's worth a 1000 words. I see Felpro has 3 valve stem seal kits listed for the '86. SS72526 is the standard exhaust valve seals. SS72877 is optional high temp exhaust seals and SS72527 are intake seals. The SS72527 intake set appears to have metal bands or springs around them like a positive seal. From what I gather the guides have to be machined for such a seal. Or, despite their appearance, do the 72527 seals just float on the valve stem like normal umbrella seals?
