What is the correct diode for my A/C Compressor clutch ?
My current one has shorted out and reads continuity in both directions which in turn has damaged my blower control module. I'm looking for the barrel type that goes between the legs of the connector. I have a 1989 Corvette with the C68 climate control. Looking for the correct voltage and amperage rating of the diode please. Thank you

The number on it should cross to something like a 1N4007. Those work well for the purpose, Fry's electronics have them.
I don't know the actual part spec but not much more current/volts will fit in that package.

Pick n Pull style salvage yard for the connector with diode. Other option AC Delco for connector and electronic hobby shop to match up diode.

The stripe side (cathode) of the diode should connect to supplied power (12 volts) and the other (anode) end goes to ground or the other end to where it connects.
