Has anyone installed a dual-diaphragm brake booster on their C4? If so, how much did it improve the braking performance and/or reduce the pedal effort? My 1996 has the J55 brakes, and while they will stop the car quite quickly, the pedal effort seems higher than my other (newer) vehicles. Thanks.

Yes, I have a dual diaphragm booster on my '84, and my brakes are outstanding! We had a good discussion of this mod in the ZR-1 section:
