Disconnect Timing Ignition On?!
Howdy all. Resetting my minimum idle after engine rebuild, '87 L98. FSM instructions includes the following:
Is it safe to disconnect the timing connector with ignition on, engine stopped? Double checking before having to get another ECM. Or worse.

4. Turn ~~ON" ignition, do not start engine. Wait at least 30 seconds.
5. With ignition ~~ON", disconnect lAC electrical connector.
!Important! Disconnect the distributor set-timing connector.
6. Start engine and allow to go Closed Loop".
