1990 starter and electrical grounds?

1990 starter and electrical grounds?
I'm finishing up my 1990 c4 and I have almost everything plugged in except for a few things.
1. the long, thick black cable, does that go to the bigger stud on the starter?
2. the 4 or 5 small block ground looking cables on the driver's side, where do those go to? do I just bolt them on wherever?
also, any tips or tricks on engine electrical or initial startup would be greatly appreciated

There’s a bolt above the oil filter mount for your grounds. Make sure this is clean. Use a new star / serrated washer if you can.
there are two wires at the starter. A purple trigger wire and a hot lead from the battery. The hot lead goes to the outer terminal if I recall right.
