Default Saying Hi

New C4 owner in Delaware. Just got an 86 to tinker with. Been wrenching for years but this is my first Corvette. Hope to contribute more than ask for help but I have a question. Does the VATS tie in with the power locks? I have power into and out of the lock button but nothing at the actuator. Everything else seems fine.

Welcome!

Do you have a factory service manual? You can find em on ebay pretty readily. Completely invaluable resource, especially if you're working with electrical gremlins.

Don't take my word for it, but I believe that the VATS system has zero interaction with the power door locks on your 86

I was just working on my power door locks on my 89 as was @Kenlou on his 86

The power door lock circuit is sorta complex IMO, with a pair of wires running across the car to connect the two power door lock switches to each other. IME if either of the power door lock switches in either car is unplugged, NONE of the circuit functions.
