So how long is a recall good for? I found one GM did for the MAF that I have. https://www.corvetteactioncenter.com...ement-541.html
It says from here on. Do they have a forever stash of parts somewhere for recalls? I don't see how they can make that statement. I have been reviving my '85 and discovered a faulty MAF. I substituted for a later model one (I had laying around) and it worked, but there seems to be some debate on compatibility. Wouldn't it be sweet if they still had to honor that?
Interesting. No sure about non safety related stuff. I remember getting a new seatbelt assembly for driver side in my ‘89 roadster sometime around 2008. I thought that was amazing. They offered the passenger side but in a different color. I declined. They started running out of stock about then. Not sure what happens when parts are no longer available.
BTW, I also have a 1992 K1500 Blazer with an open recall for a transmission fluid and filter change from 1993.
I'd be surprised if they did honor it so many years later but it couldn't hurt to ask. If you end up needing a 1985 MAF I have one I pulled off my car that works fine. No MAF related fault codes, I switched to speed density and no longer need it. $75 if you are interested. I am about a 2 hour ride from Charlestown. I also have a working burnoff module.

Yes Sir, I'm in. I'll PM you.
I do have an early '85, I'll have to check how early.
