Default Engine Fuel Line Gasket?

Hello Forum,

Today during my oil change I noticed this gasket on the fuel line running into the engine was cracked. Of course being the genius I am, I tried to see if it was still holding firm on the line and broke it off completely lol. I have been scouring the internet looking for a replacement but I haven't been able to find one yet. I checked Zip, Top Flight, and Dino's but couldn't find the part. I also did generic google searches for things like fuel line gasket, rubber fuel gasket, fuel line o ring, basically just throwing some stuff out there to see if I could find anything. I also couldn't find anything specifically related to my problem on this forum, as my search inputs turned up posts about fuel pump and other fuel line related posts. I was gonna bring it to the Autozone which is 2 minutes from home and see if they knew what it is, but they were closed already.

Does anyone happen to know which part specifically this is so I could find a replacement? And does anyone happen to know if fuel is gonna leak or spray out without this gasket? I was planning on bringing my car out for some datalogging to diagnose a separate issue, but I'm hesitant to drive my car without replacing this. I still haven't turned my car on yet lol but I probably will soon and see what happens because I have to put it back in the garage. My guess is if there even is a leak from here it won't be too bad, as this line clips on pretty good. Any replies are much appreciated! Thanks!

UPDATE: Car has been moved. No fuel leaking from this line but I will still keep searching for a replacement. I'm uneasy to drive it like this, maybe I am overreacting. But when it comes to gas I feel better safe than sorry. Any suggestions as to where I might locate this or what it is would still be greatly appreciated. All further searches have turned up nothing on my end

It's not a sealing gasket but a cover to keep dust out. Honestly, I've never noticed those before on any GMs. The line is sealed with 2 o rings on the inside of the quick connecter.

You could try to super glue it back together. As explained it is just a cosmetic dust shield. After glueing you will need a special tool to disconnect the fuel line after relieving the pressure. Dan

Okay that makes sense. I've noticed the O rings in the line connectors before while doing other work. Thanks for the reply

I thought about trying to glue it haha. I may give it a shot since I haven't been able to find these dust shields online. I already have the tool for disconnecting the line. Thanks Dan!
