is it ok to use diffrent kind of tires front and back? I know its not the best possible solution. But my rear tires or more slicks then street tires right now. And I have 2 new ones in my garage..

Thats what I've got and it doesn't seem to matter to me. Of course it is my daily so I don't spend $200+ a piece on tires either. I have BFG comp TAs on the front and Sumitomo's on the rear.

Yeah, I can't see why different brands would matter at all. If you had different tires side to side it might because I doubt they would be the same diameter and width. I had GSC's rear and BFG's front for 2 years once before. Didn't seem to matter.
I guess you could develope a little more push now since the front tires will not grip as well as the fresh rears. You can experiment and find out slowly. :steering:

My 85 has all different brands on it front to back and side to side. I don't notice any handling problems with it. I intend to keep them until they are worn out, then I'll consider buying wheels and tires both! :chevy :chevy

hard to go wrong with the AFS/Kuhmo combos on ebay. $1000-1100 gets you nice 5 stars and tires. same with those 97-99 wheels, a guy in C5 parts sold me a mint set for $300 shipped last year.
