VIDEO: Fuel Pressure Issue?
See the video above - the car stalls at the end: I am having issues with what feels like power loss, throttle response time (these is a delay when I press the throttle to the car revving), and also the car sputtering and dying occasionally. This makes me wonder if I have fuel pressure problems.
LT1 1993 383 - 30lbs injectors with a 255 Racetronix fuel pump.
1: When the car is turned to the "on" position, shouldnt the needle almost instantly jump to around 42?
2: Car looses pressure when it dies.
3: Should the pressure remain more constant and not dip below 42psi when pressing the trottle?
How do these readings look?
Could a kinked line cause this issue? - Looking at the fuel tubing, one of the hard lines looks a slightly warped.
The other thing I wonder about if the fuel pump could be bad?
The dropping of the fuel pressure at engine shut's off is not how the factory set-up is, but may be fine, just depends on pump design and regulator check-valve. Fuel in non-compassable so a very small leak back to the tank will cause the fuel pressure to drop very quickly. Most likely a non-issue.
