I have an 86 convertible and I was looking for the wire to hook up my rear window defogger and found 2 antenna cables!? These are in the center stack behind the radio area.
I do not have a stock radio, and the Bose amp is long gone.
Was the amp connected to the antenna and then the radio connected separately? I am at a loss.
Anyone have any suggestions or answers.
I also have no output from any speakers.
Thank you.
Back in the day, there were FM Modulator modules that interfaced into the antenna, then the radio was tuned to a low frequency in the 87.x range to pick up the source. These were used to add devices such as C/D changers, early Sat radio, etc to stock radio installations without cutting wires or drama. If one of the antenna wires goes to a module with RCA inputs, that's what it is.
AFAIK, the CB option ended in 1985, with 16 sold. The RPO was UN8.
