Actually I just had my lower intake off a few weeks ago, and noticed my '85 heads had larger ports than another friend of mine's '88 vette heads..
Mine are bone stock never even had the intake off. They were pretty badly cast, not too smooth, but were large... That's why I'm staying with them..With my new combo, the iron heads should last a bit longer then aluminum IMO.
