Re: Superram 1/4 mile times (chucks88)
There's got to be some fast Superrams out there?
I can take mine off and put it back on in about 4 hours :jester

I've had to take my plenum off 2 times within the past month, due to :
Forgetting about the Kickdown cable.
Forgetting about the EGR Valve and vacuum hose to the TB.
And it is coming off again this week to fix some oil leaks from the lower intake. :mad I got it down to no time at all to remove the valve covers, plenum and runners..
Now to the goods :
No times yet, but the car pulls like a madman to 5500+ rpms, as before she was starting to lose breath at 4800 and maxed at around 5K.. Totally different than the SLP siamesed runners/intake setup I had before.. Can't wait to fix the little problems and head to the track.. Hopefully I'll have some good 17" tires by then..

What is your motor set up from intake to gears?
I want to get a feeling of where I stand since I am going out
to the track with this set up for the first time

Re: Superram 1/4 mile times (91superram)
Forced air intake, SR upper and lower manifolds, relocated MAT sensor (probably no gain there), 52mm throttle body, stock exhaust manifold with no precats, B&B TriFlo cat-back exhaust (untouched main cat), single mass flywheel, 3.33 diff gears, ZF 6 speed, 285/40/17 Michelin Pilots, 180 thermostat and 185-200 degree fan switch, no frisbee, K&N filter (removed for 13.5 run), no spare. I think that's everything...
I'm going back in a few months (winter) to see if I can improve on this before I get my headers and put them on. These numbers were done on a hot, humid summer day and I was not expecting them. My previous best with the SR (14.0) was slower than my earlier runs with the stock runners on the SR base (13.7@101mph) both these times were made before the forced air, 285/40 michelins, and spare tire delete.

Wife's 1985- 383" built by yours truly, 470hp, 505tq. On drag ET Streets this car has gone 11.77 at 119. I also ran a S/R on my 1990 model for several years...Best ET was 10.80 at 127 on heads/cam, stock shortblock with a 150 shot of N2O...Best N/A time with this combination was 12.18 at 115...

Re: Superram 1/4 mile times (jburnett)
Last year it went 12.3 @ 112 with a 1.95 60' and a mail order chip. After some dyno tuning with a pocket programmer the car has so much more. I promise 11.9's this season on bfg's.

Re: Superram 1/4 mile times (91superram)
Everything is stock, except for what's in my sig. The tuning setup actually belongs to a buddy of mine. We use my laptop and he has a the tuner cat setup. Works great! The last time we were on the dyno, my computer was acting up so we couldn't tune on the spot. A/F was at an average of 10.8 all across the board. On a mustang dyno with terrible A/F it dynoed at 300rwhp and 360rwtq. I assume the A/F is still a little rich, but it runs so much better now :yesnod:

Re: Superram 1/4 mile times (Red 90 L98 Coupe)
There is a caveat attached to that though... Cast pistons DO NOT like routine shots of nitrous in the 150 range...Two weeks after that time was posted I holed #8 and the wrist pin took out the block shortly afterwards. :nonod: No biggie...Just built a motor that would do that n/a...
