 Does anyone know if someone offers a leather steering wheel cover kit that can be installed by a do-it-yourselfer? A new steering wheel from Jeff is $500, and a refurbished one from Eckler's is $340... I think that's a little spendy to replace a leather cover... I've done it before, but it been a couple years, and it was on a Fiero... If I can find a leather cover kit that will fit my '92 LT1 wheel, I'll certainly go that route.... Any help would be greatly appreciated...
I'd look on ebay. I bought a perfect condition steering wheel for my Viper for $120. Then I sold the old one on ebay for $50. I think a new one from Dodge sells for $500.
Did you see the "Wheelskins" 34.99$ that Ecklers has, I think some forum members have installed this kit. You might do a "search" or start another
topic on "Wheelskins".
:seeya Denver... :flag
Hi Denver, Thanks for the post.... Yea, I guess I was having a 'senior moment'... I didn't notice the wheelskins in my Eckler's catalog... I see them now, and that's what I'm gonna do... I got another post from a guy that installed one, and he said it took about an hour and looked great... That's what I needed... :yesnod: :flag
I am so grateful for all the input I am getting on this forum... Makes life in the fast Vette lane a lot more fun... :hurray: :steering:
