how deep have you gone in your tpi base? I have just ported about 2,5 inch into the base and 0.5 inch on the runners. So i am total 3 inch siamesd right now. Are you happy with the result?
oh and how important is it to have all of the intake the same deep? If , for exampel, nr1 has got 3,1inch deep and nr7 got 3.0 inch deep? Is that going to blow up my engine? heheh
I'm now at 2" total depth x 1" high; I haven't had a chance to get her onto a chassis dyno since the last cut (it was only 1" deep). I'm realy curious to see if I gained any more HP up top (over 5,400rpm) with the deeper cut. Plus she still chirps the tires very nicely on the 1-2 shift at about 1/2 throttle. :yesnod:
I made some passes Sat. evening and she pulled some low 1.9sec 60' times so I don't think I lost much if any low end from the latest cut.
I used a set of verniers to try and get the same depth and shape for each set of runners. I'm sure it won't "blow the motor" if not the same but might give a little imbalance on filling.
Let us know how you like the results. BTW, what is the status of your motor now, i.e. total mods as you bolt on the intake?
Well perhaps but a scan tool will show you what the INT and BLM values are reading.
Also you can use the Diagnostic Mode, as described on my site, to see if the A/F is right under steady state conditions, like at idle and while cruzin.
