Default Will 275/40/18's fit 9.5 inch Y2K rims?

I just bought some 9.5 Y2K rims and i have to go pick them up this weekend. I just ordered 275/40/18 tires cause that is what size the Y2K vettes come with. The only thing is i have been told that vettes only come with 9.5 inch wide tires and i have heard they come with 10.5 inch rear tires. I am just worried now the tire i might of bought may of been for 10.5 inch rims and i need the ones for the 9.5 inch rims. I am putting the rims on a fbody.

The 275 part of that 275/40/18 is the width of the tire in MM. So regardless of them being 18's if you have a 9.5 wheel a 275 tire fits properly. It would have likely had 315's on a 10.5 wheel.

:iagree:

275's will fit just fine, the C4's came with 285's on 9.5's for non Z51 cars

not positive but im pretty sure they are 8.5 in the front and 9.5 inches in the back.......thats how my friends '97 wheels are.....in which case the 275s will still fit the front, but hang over a little bit, I would recomend exchanging the fronts for something like 245s.
Also stock c5s have 18s in the back and 17s in the front.

I have the 97-99 rims with 275's, mine don't hang over at all. I went 17's all around so I didn't have to use spacers and I could still rotate my tires. I didn't even have a variation in my speedo either, just incase anyone was wondering.
