Just giving you guys a heads up on the GM Proform valve covers. The screw that hold the baffles on tend to walk out. happen to a buddies vette and mine was half way out. Now for some lock tight..
If you install stud girdles you have to remove the baffles, so what's your point....
:_dupe:
Actually, be advised, most covers have the same baffle setup with two short sheet metal type screws holding them on (about 3~4 thread engagement). All should be loc-tited or *****-punched prior to final install. I have used several of the Proform models and find them to be excellent tall covers (perimeter style), licensed by Bowtie BTW, you can always remove them and use an aftermarket breather/baffle/pcv's that look better than stock. I'm running Proform Chrome Bowties without baffles and with Billet Specialties PCV and a Billet Inlet fitting on the other side and have maybe seen 1 or 2 drops of oil ever get into the hose.
Good heads up 0013!
BTW, when we gonna race, last time it was a bad knee that lasted a year. :nopity
