Hey, thanks to everybody for the compliments. I'm really struggling to hold back my enthusiasm (gloating) until it's running and I know everything is right. Until then, I'll pretend to be humble.
A few of you asked questions:
Cam profile? - We just talked to the folks at Comp Cams about what the engine is and how it would be run/used. They spec'd a cam profile which myself and the fella who builds my engines both agreed with. I actually don't want to publish the exact spec's for now. I do sell a few engines and don't want to give away every last detail, for now.
How soon will it be running? - Friday June 27 thru the following Tuesday I'm taking off work. I'm going to have a keg on the back patio by the hot tub. I've invited all my buddies to stop by whenever they feel like it. My wife and kids are going to her father's for those 5 days. Hopefully by Tuesday July 1 I'll be able to start it up. There may be a little detail or two that will prevent me from starting it by then. But, if so it won't be long after that. :steering:
Is it a crate engine? - My "hobby business" is selling engines, aka crate engines. The shop that builds my engines built this engine special for my personal use. Once I get it all dialed in, it'll will become another one of our offerings. So, no it's not a crate engine, but it will be in the near future. I'm not a supporting vendor so I really can't say anymore than that.
Thanks everybody. Hopefully by about 10 days from now I'll have some real news. Maybe a video!
:steering: :conehead :D
One more editorial - what other car out there could be built for the total investment I'll have in this and be capable of doing what this combination will be capable of doing!? :flag American muscle rules
