Default Hesitation and Jerking 94 LT1 Corvette

I was cruising at about 2000 RPM in 3rd gear and I decided to punch it, the car hesitated and jerked violently  This is the first time that this has happened. I also notice that somtimes when I take-off in 1st gear it bucks around, especially when the Air Conditioning is running. What could this be? I have a new clutch and resurfaced flywheel  Should I get a new flywheel? The car has 55,000 miles and it's a 1994 LT1 Corvette :chevy

Send some more symptoms.Kinda sounds like fuel delivery problem. If my 92 has less than a 1/4 tank and I punch it , it will buck and kick like (fuel on-fuel off)Does it do this with a full tank?Have you changed the fuel filter lately? :steering:

It had a full tank of the 93 octane from Mobil :yesnod: I'll look into the fuel filter :skep: The dealership usually let's me know about all maintenance needed. How often does the fule filter need changing?

Put a fuel pressure guage on the schrader, tape it to the windshield and take the car for a ride. If it's bucking and the pressure falls way off, take a hard look at the pump.

It almost sounds like an opti-spark. When my died the car bucked and kicked so bad it actually caused two spark pug wires to fall off the plugs!

Make sure your spark plug wires are on good. If you haven't washed your engine like I did, your opti-spark may be fine.

Puhlease make sure the Shrader valve is tight when you do this. I missed that step once and was incredibly lucky I didn't burn the car down as when I got back to take the FP guage off, I saw that it had sprayed raw fuel all over the engine compartment.

I'm guessing he has found a solution. Been 13 years since this was posted.

Did not notice that, but it will still help others.

Or, Pkincy's advice is 13 years too late...
