Default How did your engine react to cam change ?

Did it affect the valvetrain - noisier valves?

I can't say from just a cam change I noticed a difference. I went from a stock L98 to a Lingenfelter 383. When the car rolled off the truck coming back from LPE...it had lots of clank from the forged lower internals..the choppy idle of the 219. I was all smiles.

Tuning is key for a cam change though...you'll have to suit the car to the new powerband etc.

Good luck.

Went from stock rockers to full rollers during an LT1 to LT4/Hotcam conversion.

I don't notice any increased valvetrain noise. But you will pick up a very cool "whir" from the Extreme Duty roller timing chain set if you choose to go that route :). Not as cool a sound as the chain drive in my Acura RSX-S but very close.
