1989corvette question
I have a 1989 corvette with a removable top (not a convertable) and I am changing my carpet in the car. I have removed all the rear and front carpet and now just need to buy the new carpet and then install it.
I have one question before installing and it is how to take a piece apart so I can put in the new carpet. With that piece on you can still easily take the carpet out but you have to take it off before putting the new back in.
It is the piece that goes along the inside of the car from where the storage containers are, at least it is close to that and then up all the way around the top forming a close to a half circle just not a circular shape. To better describe it, it is the piece where the 2 side lights are at that you can pry off and it is black and it is the strip where the top that comes off is at.
Please help, thanks.

IF you write something intelligible, you might get an answer.

If you have something nice to say about yourself, that would be good too! Why ask others to share if you won't?
It's called filling out your profile. Maybe you're in another country and don't speak the best English? Maybe another reason?
That said, the piece is called the Halo panel. Chaos answered your question. Remove small trim screws (7 maybe?), remove seat belt retainer bolts, and carefully pry the plastic trim piece from around the "B" piller.
Use SEM "Landau" black to redress it if necessary (before reinstallation).
Note: Seat belt bolts are very tight! (Also, you don't need to get into the side accessory lights to get the panel off...so leave them alone.)
