Default New mods - results!

Well, finally after a few problems on first start, yesterday I tested the
car for the first time after new mods (see sig) have been installed.

For first few runs I couldn't get it under 14.23 :mad .
Rear tires are really dead, so I tried with very gentle start and I
finally got it under 14.

1/4 mile : 13.98 @ 103.8
0-60 mph : 5.37
0-100 mph : 13.04

I know it's not a big improvement but considering the condition of my tires
and fact that I'm running on stock chip I can say that I'm glad that
I even got better result than before mods.

After mods it feels like I'm driving different car.
Before, it was hard to start from the line but when it grabed you could just
nail it to the floor.
Now, there is no so much torque in the LOW end but when it gets to
3000 rpm it just brakes loose and pulls really hard till 5500 rpm.
Yeah, 5500 rpm with ( almost ) stock TPI.

I can't wait to get new tires, and make good chip.
I bet I'll see some mid 13's with that.

I don't know how accurate AC-22 performance meter is, but on friends car
it displayed 2-3 tenths more than he had on dragstrip, so maybe my times
are even better than I think.

:chevy

I wouldn't trust that performance meter you have. With your mods, even with spinning tires, you should have a LOT higher MPH and a LOT better ET.
With those mods I'd say you 'should' be in at LEAST low 13's at 105mph AT LEAST... Even with a restrictive TPI.

Well trap speed gain shows around 20-25hp jump which is about what I would expect from the cam (the LT headers should be worth another 15hp or so), but differences in data depend so much on weather on each day.

Before you spring for a chip, install an AFPR and fuel pressure gauge and do some tuning for best trap speed at the strip. That will get the fuel flow matched to new air flow at WOT. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't find another 10-15hp in there with that tuning. You might also adjust base timing for best 1/4 mile speed.

With nearly 104mph trap speed you have enough HP to run low 13's if you can hook it up. With the tuning and better tires you should indeed be in the 12s in good weather.

Well that performace meter is really bothering me.
On my best run it displayed 2.56s 60 ft time.

Tires are really bad. I had the best time when I started like I'm
driving on the rain.

I'm not familiar with the performance meter you are using, but try to find someone with a Gtech Pro or betetr yet a Gtech Competition one. I have tested my old Gtech Pro on the track and it was only .08sec faster on ET, and 3mph too fast in MPH.. The Gtech COmpetition is supposedly even more accurate..

Try to work on your launches. With my old and slippery Eagle GSC's, on the street I needed to rev to aroudn 1600 while on teh brake. At laucnh, release the brake so the car lounges forward, and once the car is moving, slowly go deeper on teh gas. This way I could launch with only a slight spin.

Unfortunately that doesn't work anymore with my 3/45's and new mods. Iget wheelspin on the street no matetr how I launch. :jester

the frisbee is a big disc looking damper on your water pump pulley.
