I was wondering if any of you guys are using the Edelebrock IAS shocks? I am thinking about buying some of these. Any feedback would be appreicated. thanks
I rode in a car with them at an autox once, they are not stiff like Bilstein so I wouldnt recommend them for autocross/racing, they are good for regular driving and allow you to get a little spirited if you want, just not to the extreme of Bilstein or a custom shock.
Love them. Bilstein might be faster on the track but Edelbrock is faster on real world roads.
When I bought the car, it scared the sh%t out of me in the mountains because if I hit a bump in a corner at speed it would jump sideways a couple feet. When you're a couple feet from a cliff that ain't fun. Much less of this with the IAS, so I can go faster.
Had 60k on the original Bilsteins, so not a purely apples-apples comparison, but my experience jives with what I read about them when I was shopping.
i spent all last night looking for these shocks all over the net. i didn't belive it a first so i didn't order them. i called up the this morning and asked if it was for real. $69.95 + shipping.
they don't have the fronts on the site. I talk to one of the sales guys named Chris. he looked up the rears and said he could get them for the same price.
now if you guys want to wait a week till i get them in, i'll post an update.
the site looks like a truck accessory shop so i figure there is no corvette tax. http://www.stylinconcepts.com
The shocks are great! I found mine on the net last year for around $100 a peice. I'm sure the prices have gone down some by now but I wouldn't hesitate to suggest them to anyone thats looking for new shocks.
Thanks for all the replies. It sounds like the kind of shock i have been looking for. I will wait to hear how EddieL98 likes them. I am currently using the Bilstein Sport Shocks and i do not like the ride, it doesnt seem to absorb the bumps in the crappy roads here. So i am hoping that the Edelbrock IAS shocks will eliminate this.
Ok, has anyone ordered, or successfully gotten shocks from these guys? I emailed them asking if the shocks were available, and they wrote me back, "Please call us for product details"... What could the details be? The price is WAYYYY too good to be true!! Summit wants over $100/pc!!!!!!!
