Default Converting Cross-Fire to Carb?

I was curious if anyone knows or has done a conversion from cross-fire injection to carb? What is involved?

Do a search on this it has been posted several times but here is the short version. Remove the crossfire and install a manifold with carb then.

1. You need to put a T with the a regulator between the Fuel line and the return line and the other side of the T going to the carb.
2. you will need a non ECM distributor ( A 75-76 corvette HEI works)
3. You will need to take care of the TC lock up function of your tranny because of the ECM no longer beeing used. (B&M and Bowtie transmisions make kits for less than $100)
4. you will need to wire the F/P relay enable signal to 12 VDC ign.
5. Remove your ECM (you may here otherwise but Remove it it is useless)

Thats about all I can think of (Try to select a low profile manifold and air cleaner so it will have hood clearance)

The only gauge that should be affected in this swap is the MPG the rest will work fine.

Im doing this right now, but I used a 406, problem is I cant get it tuned correctly and it hesitates upon acceleration. :nonod:

84LT1, has it down pretty good, but you have to take out the ECM or it will get screwed up, and if you plan on getting it smogged again, better store it somewhere for later use. :yesnod: Also if you plan on going with a carb, get some good heads at the same time, you wont regret it. :yesnod:
