Cheap tool for opening stuck hood latch
My hood latch was stuck - couldn't open the hood. Never happened before. I searched the archives, and found a picture of the tool for $20 that I could order; obviously couple days delivery, but I wanted it now. I went to Pep Boys, very doubtful of finding the tool, and didn't. But! I found a "Belt Hook Tool" made by Performance Tool that looked very similar to the illustrations in the archives. And it worked! The difference was that it has two prongs on the end instead of one. Made no difference. Cost me $4, and it worked just like the $20 version, and I didn't have to wait.
