85 interior door panels
The carpet on my interior door panels is pulling off the vinyl and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I've tried regluing the carpet to the door panel but there's just a small "lip" of vinyl that the carpet is attached to and the carpet won't stay attached. I'd really like to try and fix this instead of spending a lot of $ on new door panels. Anyone else had this problem or able to repair? Thanks for any help! :flag

Yeah, I pulled my 85's door panel soff and got long staples and stapled just under the round ribbon edge thru the door panel and then bent the staples over on the back side of the panel,,, brushed the carpet by hand and no one will ever know. :smash:

:iagree: Did the same thing with mine, after i purchased new carpet panels, even HOT glued them to the door,,, but the staples work great....

I haven't purchased new one, trying to avoid that since my originals are in really good shape (except for the carpet pulling off). I know Mid America carries new panels and probably Ecklers.
