Brake booster, is there a adjustment for the rod?
I replaced the booster in my 93, and the pedal is a little harder than the old booster before it broke. it is tolerable, but takes a little more effort. It is a Brand New, well form the dealer, booster, no reman.. So, can you adjust the rod that the pedal pushes into the master cylinder. or is the way the pedal feels, the way it is going to stay? thanka

I believe it is, but very sensitive. We adjusted one on a you know the word F--d to much and it dammned near ruined the brakes.

On the mastercylider side of the booster rod, there should be a nut that can lengthen or shorten the pushrod. It only takes a minimal amout (1/16") to move the pedal a great deal. When I first installed my booster the rod was too long and the brakes were grabbing. Screwed the adjuster into the rod 1/8" and my pedal hit the floor. Backed it out 1/16" and it was perfect.

I think I can live with it. Maybe I can figure a way to get get more vacuum. Didnt years ago people used to use a coffee can to supplement the vacuum due to loss with the big cams? Anything like that to help boost the brakes back up a little?

It'll take you 5 minutes tops to adjust the pedal height for more leverage.

Ive seen those power brake vacuum assist cans for them older cars that had big cams and low vaccum.Whats your engine vacuum at idle? That would tell you either way if you would need a cannister or not. However I dont know the exact numbers and chart for that. But go ahead and take those readings and post them here and maybe one of us can see if thats whats needed.

13.5 is a bit low...but then again Im not too sure if thats what your mods are supposed to read or if theres another cause for that reading.I didnt think the LT4 hotcam would cause low engine vacuum that much as to affect the brakes to a point where youd need some assist.
Anyways, heres a link for a canister for an idea:
