question about oil pressure
Ok, my question regarding the oil pressure on my 1984 6-speed. On that car it always reads 80psi...always. I have had my 1984 auto out the past few days and noticed the oil pressure runs from 30-60 or something.
My question is: is there someting wrong with my car that is always at 80psi?
What can be done to fix it?

When it reads 80psi all the time, its the oil sending unit. I just don't know where it is on 84.

The sending unit could be bad or the wire could be shorted. It is located on the top of the block, in the rear, to the left (the cars left) of the distributor. If you have two devices on a "tree" it is the larger one with one wire. If there is only one device it has three wires. Good luck, and...
