Please Help on Dana 36 to Dana 44 Rear end Swap...
Please Help on Dana 36 to Dana 44 Rear end Swap...
What parts do I need to convert my Dana 36 to the stronger Dana 44 Rear End.
Is all I need the Dana 44 Batwing and the differential. And what modifications will I need to do if any. Please help me with this.
Thanks, David

PS: Anyone have the parts I need to make the Dana 36 to Dana 44 conversion at a reasonable price not costing me a arm -n- leg...
Thanks, :seeya :auto:

I used the Dana 44 driveshaft and C beam. Some people use the stock setup and with the Dana 44 rear and batwing.
I had to transfer my front yoke to the Dana 44 driveshaft.

You will need the ZF 6 speed brace, and drive shaft. Use the Yoke from the auto drive shaft. It will bolt directly in.

you can usually find the complete assembly for 2k or less. not sure about you, but thats less than my arm and legs worth.

Try ebay, but you'll have a hard time finding a complete converstion, with the 4 parts you need, the pumpkin, batwing, c-beam and driveshaft. I got mine from Zip Corvette. Talk to Justin Abbott, he's their rear end guy. He can set you up with what you need. I don't remember exactly what mine ended up costing, but I believe it was around 2k shipped.
