Where do I "pinch" off fuel line??
Just troubleshooting my cold start problem. Got a fuel pressure gauge and it is dropping quite fast....from 42 to 30 in about 10mins. I would guess this is unacceptable? I want to pinch off feed and return lines to narrow the problem down, but where do I go....all I see is steel lines. Where are there rubber lines to pinch off??
Thanx

Take the 4 torx bolts out by your gas cap. Pull that unit off and then pull teh rubber necking out under that and you'll see them. :)

You need to pull the rubber boot from around the fuel filler neck; it may be necessary to remove the lid first.
The feed & return lines are to the right. I think the top line is feed but when you pinch off one you will figure it out.

In my 86, the fuel pressure drops off a lot faster than your does and my engine runs fine.
The thing is which of the two sources are allowing the pressure fall off.
If it's at the pump in the tank, (which is where mine is) then there's really no reason for concern. I just live with it.
BUT, if it's at one (or more) of the injectors, then that'll have to be fixed.
The lines can be squeezed off at the passenger side, front, bottom of the block. At the location near where a mechanical fuel pump would mount, you'll see a bracket which holds the fuel lines to the block. At THAT point, the lines are rubber, not metal.
You should be able to squeeze off the lines while still being about to watch the fuel pressure gauge mounted on the fuel rail.

What should my pressure drop to or stay at? If I leave it overnite, what should I read on the gauge in the morning? Or should there be no pressure drop at all???

My fuel pressure drops off almost as soon as I shut down the engine.
But since I have no exhaust smoke, plugs look fine and car runs great it's one of those things I refuse to be concerned about.
