Default *FOUND* - Hands down cheapest place to buy Magnaflow exhaust.

Thanks to a fellow forum member, (Darkgh0st) I found the Magnaflow system for my 96 LT1 for $308.60 delivered! Go to www.hottexhaust.com and search for P/N 15623, add to cart and enter in the coupon code "Vetteforum" and you will receive over a $102.87 discount. I believe the discount works for all year model Corvette systems they offer, over $100 in savings! Thanks DG!

*******************UPDATE*************** ********

DarkghOst and myself are putting the word out that Hottexhaust.com has changed the coupon to a lesser discount which brings the total to $350 for the magnaflow exhaust for our C4s. Dang it! :banghead: Still...I believe this would be the best deal around for the Magnaflow exhaust.

Don't know yet...I ordered them on Friday and they told me it will be here on Wednesday the 12th. Then...I will have to wait until my engine arrives to the shop for the install on Thursday. But I will let you know as soon as I get it all finished. Later!

They sound and look awesome!! I put this on my 93 after I installed LT's removed the cats threw in an x-pipe and then the magnaflows. Deep rumble little bit of resonance not to bad though nothing like flowmasters. This is the 4th different setup I have had and its the best of the ones I have had.

Well, I just purchased them,it looked like to good of a deal to pass up.I was going to gut the cats and install the exhaust. Will this mess up the O2 sensor? And, do I need to put a new x-pipe on it or are there any other suggestions? Thanks

The site's setup kinda wierd. The fastest way to list all of the corvette exhaust systems is to type "corvette" in the search box if you're looking for something other than the LT1 setup.

So I'm curious, it says "cat-back", but for the 92-92 system, they just give you mufflers, right?

Also, are the brackets integral to muffler case, or are the stock brackets used?

Yea, just the mufflers. Also, the pic shows a L98 Catback system, these will just be the mufflers. It comes with brackets to install with that that bolt to a welded spot on the top of the muffler. My left one needs to be adjusted a little so I guess I get to find out how easy that will be. Also, I opted to have mine welded in instead of using the clamps (and I never heard them before in person, hows that for faith :D )

So if you remove your cat then I'm supposed to put in the X-pipe. from what I've read these mufflers pretty much bolt right up to existing brackets?

Yea, it comes with brackets to mount to the existing bracket spot. I'm not sure about the x-pipe because I haven't gotten one yet.

***UPDATE*** Hottexhaust has limited the discount to a minimum amount of $350. They must have been losing money or something and just caught it. This really sucks because we were just able to tell everyone about how good of a deal it was. Sorry guys

Hey Darkgh0st, you say they are mufflers only. So it doesn't come with a "Y" pipe that goes from the muffler to the resonator? Like it shows here: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/c...s/corvette.htm under the C4 section.

The early C4's have a 2.5" Y-pipe stock so the Magnaflow system includes the entire catback 3" Y-pipe section. The LT1's already have a 3" stock so there wouldn't be any benefit to installing a Y-pipe system with 3" pipes. The LT1 system comes with just the mufflers. The exisiting mufflers are cut off and then the Magnaflow ones are either clamped with the clamps supplied in the kit or you can have them welded in.
