Re: obd-1 scan tool (mdm)
Check out Ease personal OBD1 scan tools at http://www.easesim.com
Ease makes a great scan tool. The GM OBD1 tool will also scan all other GM OBD1 vehicles from 82-95. It isn't as cheap as many of the others, but it is the most comprehensive. If you like what you see at the Ease site, email me directly and I'll send you an html write-up on the tool and its features that I did with screen captures from use on my own 88 Z51 Coupe. I offer a 10% rebate to all CF members wo order from me.

Re: obd-1 scan tool (Mike_88Z51)
I am interested in the PDA version, but I need OBD I (for my 86). Is the PDA version able to do that, just "not supported" or would I have to use the laptop version?

Re: obd-1 scan tool (Fozzy_Bear)
The PDA version supports only generic OBD2 parameters which is of no use to an 86 owner. Ease OBD1 supports all GM OBD1 vehicles, but OBD1 is laptop only. The OBD1 parameter sets are not supported on PDAs by any scan tool vendor that I am aware of. The OBD1 market is shrinking and not growing, since no one has made an OBD1 vehicle for US use after model year 1995.
