Default What's bets access to replace rear fuel lines?

My fuel lines at the bottom of the tank are badly corroded (ex Canadian Car) - has anyone had to replace theirs ?

What is the best way to get at them, to replace ?

Can I get in from the rear cargo area ?

Or 'just' remove the Fuel lid and tail lights ?

The other option looks like removing the rear polyurethane bumper - I really don't want to do that - it looks tricky.

you can loosen them from the fuel lid, but removing them? you might be able to do it... I will have to check my helms to be sure.

There is no access from the cargo area.

Fuel lines come out the top of the gas tank so the tank has to come down. This means the rear suspension also has to be removed.

oh, no. No, no, no!!!

There is no need to do that.

Get some fuel line and a tubing cutter, you will then need to get some compression fittings and make a coupler. Cut the fuel line somewhere near the rear end and match up. Vette did a write up on just this a month or 2 ago.

The tank don't need to come out. Since you are going to replace the steel line any way because it is rusted right?? Why not just cut the rusted steel line and connect with a rubber fuel line and clamp it. Or replace the entire line with a stainless braide line with AN fittings but it more costly. Just a thought.
