I am attmepting to replace the headlight motor gears in my 86. I have everything apart, but I cannot get the t-pin that holds the smaller, black gear in place. I have hammered on it for a while, and it is not moving at all.
Any suggestions?
thanks

Are you talking about the tiny roll pin that attaches the headlight gear shaft to the bellcrank? I used a 5/16 punch and a small hammer to drive that pin out.
If you lose or break it, you can replace it with a 1/8 x 1 inch roll pin available from your local hardware store.
