- i would think the tooling for that thing is out there somewhere. anybody know the original manufacturer? i would like to see drawing set or maybe even a CAD file on that thing. i use to be somewhat proficient in ProE (been away from it for some 5 years), but that might be a fun, little project. locating an original would be a big plus in replicating it.

I know one of the manufacturers of the glovebox kit was Fox but I don't know if it was them who made this one.

Where did you buy that glove box or did you get crafty and make it?

I bought my 1988 C4 with this ugly glove box. After 2 yrs I finally removed it and replaced it with a flat plastic piece from Ecklers. A Forum member bought it after an hour of posting the ad. I couldn't believe how many members wanted this thing. The MSD box in this threads pics show one decent use for it. Too bad I don't have a dozen of these to sell. You guys really love this thing. My reason for not liking it or the pad is how far they stick out. My passengers feel cramped as it is in the car. Reducing the space even more is too much. I admit the glove box offers some functionality over the pad.
