Hey guys, my dad has a Olds Bravada and his brakes have gone out. First the shop replaced the master cylinder. The brakes worked for about two months now they are out again. The shop says it is the ABS and they want $500+labor to put a used one in.

Will the ABS cause a no pedal condition? Is this shop taking my dad for some easy $$$

I know this is not a C4 question but I have had a ABS light in my C$ and never lost brakes. The ABS does not work in my Bronco (go figure) but I still have brakes.

We could use some advice.

Thanks
Rick

loss of abs should not cause loss of breaks unless there is a major leak in the fluid system. I have never heard of this happening though.
