Car shifts great until I floor it and the rpm's climb then it stay there until I let off the gas 1/2 inch and then it shifts. If I nail it again then same happens. What is casusing this? I just spent $1500 on it, I'm calling the tranny shop tomorrow.
Any ideas?

You need R&R on the 3-4 upshift sleeve. If they didn't install a Vette sleeve it won't upshift at WOT. Take it back and have it fixed.

Looks like they pulled a fast one and put in a non-corvette trans.

I would make sure they put in a 87 or later model too...or you will have problems with the trans ( the 87 and later have increased torque gears/clutch baskets and shafts to correct poor reliability of earlier 700R4 tranny's ).

I would go back to the shop and demand they rebuild YOUR corvette trans and put it in the car...not some generic 700R4 that may only last a year before crapping out.

Well, it's my tranny, a friend did me a favor and took it to his shop where his man did it. I talked to him tonight and he told me the kickdown cable needs to be adjusted. So I'm putting her on the rack tomorrow.........

Thad, good luck but the TV cable only controls kickdown points and part throttle shifts.
