Good thing I didn't go to the track last night. My car started making a loud crunchy/clicky noise that occured with every wheel revolution. Its actually coming from the halfshaft, so I'm assuming its a U-joint. My 4X4 made the same noise when the U-joints went in the front axles. I have it almost all apart ready for the new ones. Is it possible it is the bearing in the hub and do the bearings fail regularly in these cars? Mine has 93K and looks all original under there. I took the U-joint saddles off and the noise is almost completely gone when I spin the axles now, which is leading me to believ its definitely U-joints.

All fixed. Outer joint was fine, inner had a seized cap and the other one was dry and destroyed the needle bearings. Replaced both and it feels and sounds fine now. Oh, I also swapped my wheels to the correct side and my vibration went away.
