Who has Trickflows??? Along with 219/SR combo?
I am really thinking about this combo.....
-Trickflow's with the 58CC(double springs).
-Superram
-LPE 219 cam.
i am expecting 400/435 at the crank, as i say i expect, or i would hope for those numbers!!
anyways, who has a setup like this, and what numbers are u making? and do u suggest it?
thanks.

400 is doable, 435+ is going to be a bit of a stretch on a 350.

If you really are hard set of hitting certain HP/TQ numbers, take my word for it and DO NOT EXPERIMENT.
Go with a proven combo and pay the money up front to reach your goal.
And if you still want to reach your goal, go with a proven combo,
unless you really, really want to reach your goal then I would go with a proven combo.
OR go for deals and do it twice or three times.

Melting Slicks
I have the TF CNC'd 72cc head for a ~9.5:1 compression, with a SR (more mild cam tho). My cam is a 224/224 or something with .494" lift I/E. If you want to look up the specs to double check, it's a Comp cams 12-404-04 I believe. Fairly mild cam with smooth idle for a daily driver.
With a barely adequate tune, I put down 325 HP and 470 ft-lbs of torque on a 383ci motor. The trickflows are good heads for the money (and not the wait of the AFRs), I got the CNC'd 23* heads for $1100 shipped to my door and fully assembled for the larger diameter (0.600" lift) springs. 20,000 miles and they still seem to holding up well!
compair the flow #s and you'll see that although the AFRs are the preferred head here, the TF's are a pretty nice alternative and very, very simliar (on paper, at least).
I will eventually swap out to a 219 cam, it just might take me another year or so...

i hear that! i am thinking of the 62CC one's and probably have them turned down to 58CC to keep stock CR. looks like u got a good deal on the heads!
you are making 325/470, the hp seems like, but that is alot of torque! what does that motor rev too? and what kinda of gains r u expecting from the 219 cam?
am i way off in my hp/torque expectations?

Safety Car
I was running the 355, 219 cam and 195CC trickflow flow heads, I have since built a 406 but my sig still shows all the 355 parts. The stock out of the box Trick flows will support the 400 HP that you are looking for. My 355 with 10.6 compression 219 cam and superram made approx 427 HP and 475 FT/LB of torque. This combination yielded me high 11's at 114 MPH in a daily driven car that was at full street weight and it also pulled mid 20's for highway gas mileage.
I believe you will be happy with the results if you run this combination.

I am not sure now but I wouldn't tust TFS anymore. Called them up and told them of my combo and they weren't sure whether it would work. I had to clay the pistons to make sure it would work. 2 weeks after I got it all installed, they said I had to change the guideplates becaus of bad production. A couple years later, I just took it out for checking and found that the driver side valves had lots of play in it and was wearing out the guideplates. Also found a broken spring which caused the valve to hit the head.
I wouldn't use TFS heads if you gave me a set. That combo looks good and I ahve used it before. If you must use TFS heads, get a bare set so you can put whatever you want on them
