Name these sensors under throttle body (88 pic)
There are two here. One is under the hose. These are on the front of my 88. I was told the one on the right, the smaller with the black and gold connector, was the sensor for the ECM to read coolant temperature, not the dash's source for coolant temp readings. Is that right, and what is the one on the left with the large brass base? Thanks,

The sensor on the right with the oval connector is the engine coolant sensor that tells the ECM what the coolant temperature is for controlling the TPI. The sensor on the left is a thermostatic switch for turning on the cold start fuel injector.
