Default Header differences 91 to 92

What are the major differences here?? Are the exhaust ports in different locations on the LT1?

Thanks.

No the ports are in the same place. I know the LT-1 has D-port heads and the L98 might have square ports? I'm running Hooker LT's which are designed for the L98 but work great on the LT-1 so they can't be that different.

You wouldn't happen to have that part number, would you??

Seems like LT1 headers are more $$ than L98's...

They are more expensive. Couple things about Hookers and LT-1's: you can run into emissions problems cause most people remove the AIR system to run Hookers. Other headers like EM have the provisions here some that is helpful. YOu could probably add the provisions to the Hookers but it would be somwhat troublesom.

Also you are going to need to add your own O2 bungs. This is cheap and easy and any exhaust shop will do it for you for $20 bucks. If your LT-1 is a 92-93 you will also need to install heated O2 sensors.

There is a GP from EM going on now. They are designed for the LT1/4. Price is pretty good for what you get. If money were no problem, I'd be all over them.

EM is the best if you got the dough.

Headers bolt to the heads the same way, standard SBC.

Geometry and fitting to the rest of the exhaust is different, which may not be a problem if you like cutting and welding.
