Had a lot of folks latch onto my tail today, very close range. I have had this in the past, but today, more then usual. Are these Z's that cool ? Are they trying to figure out what kind of C4 this is from seeing others, or just checking out a ZR-1 ?
Do you guy's get that? I am sure this has been discussed many times.

I have had some of it in my short ownership (4 months). I think it is the fact that it is a Corvette and some want to see if it is all that everyone says it is. Most people don't have a clue what a ZR-1 is, including ricers, mustangs, and mopar and don't care. They wanna play with a vette. I think some people just do it to get a rise out of you by tailgating. I will get away from someone trying to stay on my tail because it just bothers me.

I don't think the general public has any idea what a ZR-1 is. And heck a couple years ago I was at a car show and took my black ZR-1 parked away in the parking lot. As I walked back I was about 100 yards away looking at the rear and noticed another black Corvette parked next to it. Turns out it was a black C5. I swear I couldn't tell the difference from that distance. Both look about as wide.

I think they feel if they get close enough you'll put the hammer down because your'e driving a sports car . Usually get this the most from soccer moms gabbing on the phone in an SUV. Personally I don't budge if I'm going withthe flow of traffic; every now and then I'll goose it and move aside if they get too close, though.

I've noticed that objects in mirror are not as close as they appear.

Sitting at a light one time, this guy was real close to me, so I leaned out the window to give him some **** and realized he wasn't as close as he appeared in the mirror.
