That last photo... didn't all ZR-1's have "double duals"? The exhaust has the single outlet?

Still, nice page. Do you have the full size files? That LT5 shot would make a killer wallpaper!!

90-92 had dual rectangular exits - 93-95 had rectangular singles.

'92 was the first year of the single outlet exhaust tip on the ZR-1.

Interesting - I figured they'd have changed it for 93 with the new engine. And they left the sports seat in 'till 93. The 93 is definitely my favorite Z - sport seats 405 hp - looks killer - If I ever buy another Z - it'll be a 93!

My next Z will be a 95 with early ZR-1 seats swapped in.

I may be mistaken, but a good source tells me the sport seats in 93 are different from the 90 - 92 seats... Can anybody spot the difference ? As many has said before, I believe the Ruby 93 40th Annivesary will be one of the most collectable ZR-1s ever... I would love to have a 93, Ruby or not... Time to pick up the Heart of the Beast and look at the 93's again...

I don't see why the Ruby will be all that collectable. Half of the run was a ruby.

There is no difference in Sport Seats from 91-93 they are all the same. The 1990's were the different ones with the power seat back and side wings having buttons on the seat. The 91-93's the button for the wings was placed on the front of the seat and they took away the power seat back and made it a manual lever.

First of all the 40th will be one of the most collectable because of the color exterior and interior. So what if they made 245 of them its the only year you could get that color on a ZR-1 and its the only Anniv or special edition ZR-1 they made. When you see a 40th you know what it is. When you see a Black, White, Red, Polo Green, Yellow, etc. you don't always know what year they are, if someone has put 5 stars on them etc.

The point is 95's, 40th's, and other rare color cars, Yellow, Admiral Blue, Quasar (93's), Dark Red Met. (93-95's) Black Rose, and White interior 93's (11 made) will be the most collectable just because of production #'s. The 405hp cars will be the most collectable over all. Any of the above mention will just make more desirable, just look at the 65-67 and 68-71 big block cars now, 390's, 400's, 435's, LS5', LS6 etc. It will all fall in line in time.
