Default One week from Friday........

One week from Friday I will be driving my ZR1 to Aaron Scott in Thomasville Georgia for a 368 conversion (with cams). I am really starting to get excited but realize it will be awhile until I get her back. It's going to be strange not being able to just jump in it when I want and get my speed fix. However, the wait will hopefully be worth it. I'm sure the drive home is going to be a good one.

I'd love to get that done to my car. I'm trying to convince my wife how much more fun it would be with over 500 HP :yesnod: Tell me all the details so I can start my note to Santa! Some day, baby.

You're gonna love it Joel, congrats. When do you get it back, what catback exhaust do you have? We can compare cars if you swing by austin on your way back.

Joel is like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. The waiting is the hardest part.

The 368 is a nice piece for sure. I wish I would have had the time and room to do it for you so you could watch the process. Good luck!

Hey Joel,
Hopefully Aaron will be done w/ my car by that time--so needless to say I'll be happy to have it back :D
You'll be pleased as soon as you walk in Aaron's shop--you'll see what I mean ;)

I bet your really excited. :D How long was your car in his shop, 3 month's? That's what I am expecting. However, I really just want it done right so time is of little consequence. It's too hot drive around anyway right now. I wish everyday was a standard day air day. Let me know what you think of the work and how it turned out. Have a good one!

Thanks oh temple minder. I would not have a problem with you doing it. I know you would do a first class job. The reason I didn't call was when I was planning this a couple of month's ago you were elbow deep in that 415 of your's. I figured time would be tight. It would have been nice to see it unfold. This is the first time I have had someone else do this kind of work for me, my job has me working my tail off lately. There would be no way I would have the time and I certainly don't know anything about rebuilding a LT5 sooooooooooo..............to Aaron Scott I go.

His base 368 with Oliver Rods is $15,000 dollars. If you reuse your stock rods he will take off $1,200 from that for $13,800. Lingenfelter charges $21,500 for basically the same thing. I think his web site is sgvette.com

BTW, Semper Fi. I was on that rock back in 1987. What do you do in the Marine Corps?
