Default For Sale: 1990 ZR-1

Well,I'm in the process of buying another ZR-1(with 415") and sadly must sell my 90 ZR-1 to a new home. My car with full description will be in the Forum & ZR1Net classifieds soon. If sincerely interested, give me a shout.

Clint

Wasn’t that the old Pineapple Express that went out to Florida Stan Schwartz owned in the past? That was a very serious machine!

No,it's not the old Pineapple Express. This car is in Virginia at the moment. The owner and I have been best friends for 15 years and I helped him get the car. He gave me first shot if the car ever went up for sale. I've got 90 days to sell mine but if I don't have any serious offers in 30 days,I'll step aside and let someone else have a shot. It won't break my heart if my car doesn't sell, though.

I knew you had a soft spot for the 415!

Best of luck on selling your car and making it happen.

David

That's what makes it kinda tough for me,Julio. I purchased my ZR-1 on my 44th birthday and have put a huge amount of time & money getting it the way I want. The market being soft now like it is,is another factor, too.
Yes,if I get the 415" car,I'll definitely install some spray.

My friend and I had a long talk last night. Both cars are off the market now.
I really love my car and it can probably run(on the juice) with most of the 415's out there. To those of you that inquired about it,sorry but I just can't part with it at this time. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Actually,it was a very easy decision,Wayne. Everyone wants to buy a ZR-1 for next to nothing these days and I just wasn't willing to give my car away.
When the old ZR-1 Registry had 2,000+members,they controlled over half the ZR-1's out there. I have no doubt that the LT5 Registry will eventually grow that large or larger. When it does,we will able to control the market for ZR-1's to a much larger extent. When that happens,no more cut rate pricing and values will reflect more honest numbers.

I really don't think anyone is going to dictate the selling price of ZR-1s unless they own enough of them to control the supply. A large group of affiliated people who own ZR-1 Corvettes will not accomplish that task unless everyone agrees to sell their ZR-1 at no less than X dollars. Good luck having that happen. The simple laws of economics will prevail.

Supply and demand? What's that?

I ran into LOTS of people when shopping for a car that thought the sun rose and set on their car. They are still trying to sell them but not to me. Controlling a market? If you're the only game in town, maybe. As my old daddy, the former gate keeper for the Dolly Llama, once said to me when I was selling my 300SL, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.
