Default Power key/Wallet key question??

-90 ZR1 Power key has 2 positions Normal and full.

I remember when I did read from magazine that power key has 3 different positions. Normal / Full and third that has only about 30hp.

What ZR1 has 3 position power key?? Or was it only on somekind of proto/test cars ?

30hp? Or maybe a 30mph limiter for a valet option? Now THAT would be cool! :D

Mylzi,

Are you sure you're not referring to the fact that the earlier models defaulted to "off" and had to be turned on, and the later models default to "on" and have to be turned off (presuming in both cases the key is in). Perhaps in removing the key in the later models, there is a "third" position to release it?

Either that or the mag was wrong. I think the two function key was pretty standard, even in early development.

Art, slight correction based on failing memory ..... early ZR-1's would let you turn the key ON and pull it out, leaving ON as a default start-up scenario. Later models (my 92) always default OFF on startup, regardless of key in or out.
