Default Shifter rattle

Shifter rattle is getting annoying. It is the reverse lockou lever. Is there a soultion ? TIA

Check to make sure you have the set screw. It'll be in the back side. I'm missing mine and that is what rattles on mine.

Jeff's right. Snug up the screw, maybe about once a year of so, and you'll be fine. Don't overtighten, but you will need to repeat it. I am going to retighten mine mext weekend, I did it last in 1999.

You can buy that lockout ring itself from the dealer. However, if you put in a Hurst shifter, it'll get rid of that whole mechanism. The internal spring detent combined with the reduced lateral throw makes the shifter feel like the '95-6 passive lockout. Plus, you'll love driving the car a lot more with this shifter- solid, precise, smooth, and more reasonable in its throw.
